The Bangladeshi soldiers on Friday discovered a mass grave at the Bangladesh Rifles complex in Dhaka and recovered bodies of at least 30 army officers, two days after the paramilitary personnel staged a mutiny in their force's headquarters in Dhaka.
The National Investigation Agency on Saturday arrested an alleged operative of banned Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh terror outfit Rezaul Karim, believed to be in charge of transporting explosives to various places in Burdwan in West Bengal.
Rezaul Karim was the custodian and courier of bombs and explosives for Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh modules in Burdwan.
"The others were tortured by the gunmen," Rezaul Karim, father of Hasnat Karim who was held hostage inside Holey Artisan Bakery in the diplomatic zone for over 10 hours was quoted as saying to The Daily Star.
