The court at Hoannalli in north Karnataka observed that the Corps of Detectives had failed to file a chargesheet in 90 days, which is mandatory as per Section 162 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Nasir was first arrested on charges of theft. However, during the course of the investigation it was revealed that Nasir along with others had planned to blow up several places in Karnataka, Goa and Andhra Pradesh.
