In a new twist to the sensational case relating to the murder of TV executive Neeraj Grover, the police on Friday claimed that the killing was pre-meditated by Kannada film actress Marrayya Monica Susayraj and her naval officer boyfriend M L Jerome Mathew.The police had earlier claimed that Grover's killing was a spontaneous act and the new disclosure came after police got hold of mobile phone records of Mathew and Susayraj, which suggested that the act was pre-meditated.

A nine-inch-long knife which is alleged to have been used by naval officer M L Jerome Mathew in killing television executive Neeraj Grover in Kannada actress Maraya Monica Susayraj's flat was recovered from the home, police said. "We have recovered the knife from a chute situated near the bathroom of Susayraj's flat in Malad," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria said Monday. Mathew is suspected to have washed the weapon and thrown it in the chute.

The former India opener posted on his official Twitter account, appealing agitating protesters to cease violence immediately and sort out the issues peacefully by staying within the limits of Indian constitution. "I request all my brothers to voice their differences and protest by staying within the limits of our constitution. We are saviors and not violent predators," Sehwag posted on his twitter account," Sehwag wrote on his Twitter handle. "Our army and sportspersons fight for the country's pride. Our (the citizen's) passion should work in the benefit of India and not against it," he added. Sehwag's comments come in the backdrop of a raging debate on freedom of expression after an event against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus where anti-national slogans were allegedly raised. Earlier Dhoni had also voiced his opinion by hailing the Indian army, saying that the nation is in a position to debate on freedom of expression because of the men in uniform.
