The charge-sheet in the November 26 Mumbai terror strikes, which claimed over 180 lives, is likely to be filed within two three days. "Final touches are being given to the charge-sheet and will be filed within two to three days before the magistrate," said Special Public Prosecutor Ujwal Nikam.The charge-sheet will be filed before a metropolitan magistrate, who will then transfer the case to the special court constituted inside the high-security Arthur Road jail.

The Bombay High Court has issued a notification directing the immediate constitution of a special court in the Arthur Road jail premises in Mumbai, to conduct the trial against Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone arrested terrorist in the November 26 terror attacks.The Mumbai Crime Branch is likely to file its chargesheet in the case on February 24, sources said.Special public prosecutor Ujwal Nikam and Rakesh Maria, gave final touches to the chargesheet.

Actor Shiney Ahuja, who was arrested for allegedly raping his domestic help, was on Saturday shifted to the state-run J J Hospital after he complained of acute back pain due to a slipped disc. A sessions court on Friday directed the authorities at the Arthur Road Jail, where the actor is lodged since his arrest in June this year, to provide medical treatment and admit him to a hospital if the need arose.

Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, the lone terrorist arrested during the terror siege in Mumbai in November last year, on Wednesday requested the special court hearing the 26/11 attack case to provide him books as he was 'bored' in jail. Kasab, currently lodged in the highly-guarded Arthur Road Jail, said either the court should provide him books or allow him to buy them from his money seized by the police at the time of his arrest last year.

Nirav Modi, the fugitive diamond merchant wanted in India to face charges of fraud and money laundering in the estimated $2-billion Punjab National Bank (PNB) scam case, has lodged his appeal against extradition from the UK and the case will be heard at the high court in London on December 14. The 50-year-old jeweller, who remains behind bars at Wandsworth Prison in south-west London since his arrest in March 2019, was granted permission to appeal against the Westminster Magistrates' Court extradition order on mental health and human rights grounds. High court judge Martin Chamberlain had ruled on August 9 that arguments presented by Modi's legal team concerning his "severe depression" and "high risk of suicide" were arguable at a substantial hearing.
