Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and invited him to visit her state.
"I came to meet Prime Minister to pay my respects and invite him to make his first visit as the prime minister to Madhya Pradesh," she told reporters after the meeting.
Pledging all support to the prime minister, Bharti said, "Singh is an apolitical person and I hope he will treat all states equally and without any discrimination."
"Singh," she said, "is a saint in politics who will ensure equality and prosperity to all." Bharti said she did not discuss any other issue with the prime minister.
