The Hazratganj police on Friday night arrested three people in connection with an alleged railway recruitment racket in Delhi.

The police acted on a complaint filed by a person, who had allegedly paid Rs 30,000 to procure a job in the railways.

The complainant claimed he was faxed an appointment letter and asked to report at the Gorakhpur office of the railways on a particular date. The police claimed the letter was fake.

The police said that during interrogation the three men suggested the involvement of a few railway employees at Nirman Bhavan in New Delhi and efforts were on to identify them.
