Marad case probe for CBI: Kerala CM

Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan on Tuesday informed the Assembly that the government had decided to entrust the Marad carnage case to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

In a written reply, he said the government had decided to entrust the case to the CBI based on the recommendation of

the Commission, which inquired into the Marad carnage incident.

Achuthanandan said the government had not yet received any communication from the CBI informing their unwillingness to investigate the case.

The government had already sent a reminder to the Centre in this regard, he added.
