The Election Commission shared details of seizures made in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry, where Assembly elections were held recently.
Breakdown of Seizures in Kerala
In Kerala, cash worth Rs 6.07 crore was seized since February 26, 2026, when the Election Seizure Management System (ESMS) was activated, an official release said.
Apart from this, 8,28,248.33 litres of liquor worth Rs 2.51 crore were seized.
Similarly, drugs worth Rs 58.47 crore and precious metal objects valued at Rs 2.25 crore were also seized.
Freebies worth Rs 5.33 crore were also recovered from the state.
