It was a surprise gift from President A P J Abdul Kalam to his Swiss counterpart Samuel Schmid when he presented the latter with a CD containing photographs of Alps Mountains taken by an Indian satellite.
The CD was handed over to Schmid during a banquet he hosted in honour of the Indian President late on Friday night.
The pictures of Alps were taken on May 22 by the recently launched Indian satellite Cartosat.
