Delhi Police has arrested a 34-year-old alleged member of the Chenu gang and recovered a country-made pistol along with two cartridges from his possession, an officer said on Friday.

The accused, identified as Salman Qureshi, provided logistical support to other members of the gang and is also linked to Shezad, an alleged robber involved in several recent cases in the city, the officer said.

 

Arrest Details

Police said they had received specific inputs that Qureshi was planning a robbery. Acting on the information, a trap was laid, and the accused was apprehended in the New Ashok Nagar area.
