Bulgarian PM visits ISRO centre in Bangalore

Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev on Thursday visited the satellite centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation in Bangalore, where officials of the agency made a presentation on the country's space programme.

According to ISRO's Programme Director (International Cooperation), Jacob Ninan, Stanishev was shown the satellite integration facility. Ninan said India's unmanned moon mission Chandrayaan-I slated for next year would carry a payload by the Bulgaria Academy of Science.

Earlier, the Bulgarian prime minister was accorded a warm welcome at the airport when he arrived from New Delhi. Stanishev's engagements this week include a visit to the campus of Infosys Technologies Limited.
