One killed, 5 injured in Gulmarg grenade attack

One tourist was killed and five other persons wounded in a grenade explosion in the north Kashmir's Gulmarg mountain resort on Sunday afternoon.

Police said militants lobbed a grenade at the bus stand in the Gulmarg health resort which exploded causing injuries to six persons.

"One of the injured persons identified as Ashok Kumar belonging to Uttar Pradesh succumbed to his injuries," a senior police officer said.

The other injured including one more tourist were taken to Tangmarg district hospital for treatment, however, the condition of 7-year old Mohammad Yusuf was very said to be critical.
