Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Friday said her party or its leaders would not compromise the interests of the country on any issue, including nuclear and foreign policy. "We have been accused of compromising national interests... I want to tell you clearly that the Congress, which got independence and its leaders Indira Gandhi [Images] and Rajiv Gandhi made supreme sacrifices, will never weaken the nation," she said, while recalling withdrawal of the support to the UPA government by the Left Parties on the Indo-US Nuclear deal issue.
