Other Backward Class Members of Parliament on Tuesday rejected the exclusion of the creamy layer by the Supreme Court while providing them reservation in higher educational institutions.

The forum, which constitutes 40 OBC lawmakers, including Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss, Dausa MP Sachin Pilot and JD-U leader Sharad Yadav, termed the creamy layer criterion put forward by the Supreme Court as a 'conspiracy'.

At a meeting in New Delhi, the lawmakers also demanded reservation in the judiciary and implementation of the Nachiappan committee report.

The MPs would be meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] and Congress President Sonia Gandhi [Images] on April 29 and present them with a charter of demands.

"Besides the prime minister and Sonia Gandhi, we would also meet opposition leaders and try to put forward our views," V Hanumantha Rao, convener of the forum told PTI.
