A helicopter escorting Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf [Images] crashed in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, killing four security officials and injuring his spokesman.

The General, who was travelling to a 2005 earthquake anniversary ceremony in PoK, was unhurt.

The medium-lift helicopter, which was carrying Musharraf's spokesman Rashid Qureshi and other security and staff officials, was following the President's aircraft when it crashed near Gari Dupata town after catching fire, military spokesman Maj Gen Waheed Arshad said.

Qureshi and three other officers were injured and were taken to a hospital in Muzaffarabad.

Four soldiers had died in the accident, Arshad said.

Musharraf, who is visiting Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to participate in ceremonies on the anniversary the devastating earthquake two years ago, was in another helicopter, officials said.
