March 26, 2007 18:10 IST

The designated Central Bureau of Investigation court in Rae Bareli has fixed April 18 as the next date for hearing the Babri Masjid demolition case against eight accused including Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani.

Special Judge (CBI) Rais Ahmed posted the hearing of the case to April 18 when the investigating agency is likely to produce two witnesses on the December 6, 1992 demolition.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had denied shifting of the case 198/92 to Lucknow along with a similar case.
