The special representatives of India and China M K Narayanan and Dai Bingguo are in Coonoor, along with a high-powered delegation, to discuss the contentious border issue between the two countries.

Indian Ambassador to China Nirupama Rao and her Chinese counterpart in India, San Yu Si, are among the 19 delegates who will assist the special representatives in the talks.

Narayanan arrived from Coimbatore by a helicopter on Saturday, while the other members of the delegation reached by road.

The diplomats held talks in New Delhi on Friday and are expected to discuss the issue later on Saturday evening, officials told PTI.
