Services on Central Railway's slow corridor were affected for about 20 minutes on Friday evening following a bomb hoax at Mulund railway station in northeast Mumbai, railway police said.

An unidentified bag was found below a bench on platform 1 of the station at 17:20 hrs and services had to be halted for 20 minutes till the bomb squad completed its investigations, they said.

The bag contained a soldering iron and some wires, they added.
