Robbers shoot dead cop in Navi Mumbai

Robbers attempting to loot a bank in Navi Mumbai shot dead a police sub-inspector and injured a constable on Wednesday morning, the police said.

Babasaheb Adhav, a sub-inspector at the Rabale police station, was killed outside the Maharashtra and Punjab Cooperative Bank in Airoli, they said.

The injured constable was identified only by his second name Karde, police said.
