Nagpur: 2 SIMI activists arrested

Nagpur police have nabbed two activists of the banned Students' Islamic Movement of India in the adjoining Wardha district.

Police on Saturday said Waqar Baig Yusuf Baig (32) was nabbed in Wardha while Zia alias Rehman Mehboob Khan (32) in Hinganghat of the district late on Thursday night. They were brought to Nagpur last evening and formally placed under arrest, sources said.

Baig is suspected to be associated with some Pakistan-based terrorist organisation and has also undergone training in Pakistan.
