In a display of honesty and integrity, an airport official on Tuesday restored a cover containing US $10,000 to a traveller who had lost it in the airport.

The traveller was about to board the flight for Frankfurt in the wee hours when the Airports Authority of India Duty Manager Sundaram handed over the cover to the traveller, airport sources said.

Sundaram got details of the traveller after he contacted a phone number given in the cover, the sources said.

Sundaram managed to identify Ponnusamy and handed over the money minutes before the flight took off, the sources said.
