Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief and former Jharkhand chief minister Shibu Soren on Friday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] and demanded the dismissal of the Arjun Munda government.

Leading a United Progressive Alliance delegation from the state, Soren also demanded an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the 'large-scale horse trading and the misuse of state machinery' by the Munda government.

Talking to reporters after the half-an-hour meeting, Soren said he informed the PM that despite a 'clear-cut majority', the UPA alliance was deprived of an opportunity to prove it because of 'blatant illegal activities of the National Democratic Alliance, both at the state as well as at the Centre'.
