Actor Vijay Raaz, who was detained in Dubai on drug charges, arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday.

United Arab Emirates authorities released Raaz on Tuesday night after detaining him at the Dubai airport for nine days.

The actor had gone to Dubai for the shooting of the film Deewane Hue Paagal, directed by Vikram Bhatt.

He said that he was innocent and that a urine examination by the police had tested negative for drugs.

"Charges against me were withdrawn after the test," he said.

He admitted that around six grams of ganja had been found in one of his bags. "But honestly speaking, I have no clue as to how they landed in my bag."

Asked if he suspected foul play, he said, "I do not really know of any such enemy who would want to cause me such harm. I believe that I have a lot of friends and fans who genuinely love me and my work. In fact a lot of people here in the industry prayed for my release. I do not immediately suspect anyone and I cannot point fingers until I have some conclusive proof.
