For the first time after nearly three months, the two Shankaracharyas of the Kanchi Mutt, Jayendra Saraswati and Vijayendra Saraswati, were seen together on Wednesday in Kanchipuram.

The two appeared before a court in Kanchipuram in connection with the Sankararaman murder case.

The senior seer was arrested on Nov 11 and later released on bail on Jan 11, the day the junior seer was arrested in the case.

All the 24 accused, including the two seers, were on Thursday brought to the first judicial magistrate's court for serving the copies of the charge sheet. But since the copies were not 'fully ready', magistrate, G Uthamaraj adjourned the case to Feb 24.
