Uddhav Thackeray joins the Congress -- This statement by expelled Shiv Sainik and Maharashtra Minister for Revenue Narayan Rane in Chimur area of Chandrapur district, Maharashtra on Tuesday, sent those part of the gathering into a tizzy.

The audience was stunned when the announcement was made, wondering why Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray's son had suddenly decided to change sides, and why he had chosen Chimur to make the transition.

However, it soon became clear that the man being spoken about was not the Shiv Sena Executive President, but just a namesake, a former 'Shakha Pramukh' (local unit chief) of Borgaon in the district, much to the amusement of those present.
