Girl finds pornographic pictures in email; two held

The Mumbai Police have arrested two persons for harassing a student by allegedly sending pornographic pictures through email and threatening her of more trouble if she did not respond.

The Cyber Cell arrested Sachin Agrawal (28), a resident suburban Chembur, and Bikesh Chandra Roy (25), a resident of suburban Vile Parle.

Both have been booked under the Information Technology Act 2000.

The duo was arrested on Wednesday and produced in a local court, which remanded them to police custody till February 13, the police said.

The two youth sent obscene pictures through email to a girl studying in a local management institute.

In the email, the youth also allegedly threatened the girl to respond to their email failing which they would send those pictures to her family staying at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, the police said. The girl later lodged a complaint, leading to the arrests.
