Pakistan on Monday said it will give a 'positive, comprehensive and robust' response to India's 12-point peace package announced last week.

"We may accept some of the proposals," Pakistan foreign office spokesman said when asked if there is any reluctance on Islamabad's part in accepting the proposals mooted by New Delhi on October 22.

Claiming that majority of the proposals had been suggested by Pakistani leadership earlier, he, however, said that Pakistan is not running them down.

The spokesman said the core issues of Kashmir and peace and security issues are not in the package announced by India.

He said there is a need for substantive and composite dialogue without which 'difficult and key issues' could not be resolved.

Talking to reporters later, Pakistan Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said Islamabad has been seriously pursuing to initiate dialogue with India to resolve all disputes.

Asked why Pakistan has not yet responded to the 12 points presented by India recently for negotiations, Jamali said most of these points were based on the proposals already submitted by Pakistan.

However, Jamali said Pakistan is in the process of formulating its response.
