New express train between Mumbai and Bangalore

Central Railways has introduced a bi-weekly express train between Dadar in Mumbai and Bangalore, via Miraj.

Train 1049 Dn departs from Dadar at 2250 hours on Mondays and Fridays and reaches Bangalore at 2220 hours the next day.

Train 1050 Up departs from Bangalore at 0620 hours on Wednesdays and Sundays and reaches Dadar at 0725 hours the next day.

It will halt at Kalyan, Karjat, Lonavala, Pune, Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj, Ghatprabha, Belgaum, Londa, Dharwad, Hubli, Haveri, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tiptur and Tumkur stations.

The train consists of 17 coaches including one air-conditioned two tier, one air-conditioned three tier, nine sleeper class coaches, four general second class-cum-brake van coaches.

New tri-weekly express between Mumbai and Ajmer

Western Railways has introduced a tri-weekly express train between Mumbai Central and Ajmer in Rajasthan with effect from November 19, 2003.

Train 9679 will depart from Mumbai Central at 1350 hours on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and reach Ajmer at 0930 hours the following day.

Train 9680 will depart from Ajmer at 1710 hours on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and reach Mumbai Central at 1235 hours the following day.

It will halt at Dadar, Borivali, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mahesana, Unjha, Chhapi, Palanpur, Abu Road, Sirohi Road, Jawaibandh, Falna, Rani, Marwar Junction, Sojat Road and Beawar stations. 

The train will consist of air-conditioned three tier, sleeper class and general second class coaches.
