Wagal was arrested in connection with the stamps scam in Mumbai on Friday.

The firearms were seized from Wagal's Agasti Apartments residence in Bandra during raids conducted by the SIT and the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday night.

Among the seized weapons was a service revolver, but the SIT does not have details of who issued the weapon to Wagal.

The Mumbai police has said it did not issue the weapon to Wagal.

The other four weapons were foreign-made and the SIT suspects that some of them may be unlicenced.
