Dubai deports Dawood aides

Riyaz Siddiqui and Rajkumar SharmaFollowing a request by India, Dubai authorities on Thursday night deported two gangsters owing allegiance to the Dawood Ibrahim gang.

The Mumbai police arrested Riyaz Siddiqui and Rajkumar Sharma on their arrival at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 2205 IST.

They had fled to Dubai and helped Ibrahim manage his underworld operations.

The two were wanted in cases of murder, attempt to murder and other serious crimes. Courts in Mumbai had issued red corner notices against them and these were handed over to the Interpol.

Dubai authorities had recently deported six gangsters, including the brother of Ibrahim, Iqbal Kaskar.
