Peace process between India, Pak a great blunder: Singhal

May 15, 2003 15:53 IST

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Wednesday said the ongoing initiative to normalise relations between India and Pakistan would be a 'great blunder'.

Announcing this in Varanasi VHP president Ashok Singhal said, "No efforts should be made to initiate peace processes between the two countries unless Pakistan occupied Kashmir is returned to India," he said.

The VHP leader said the policy of appeasement of Muslims was a big hurdle in the way of resolving the Ayodhya imbroglio.

He accused so called 'secular forces' of harming the country.  He said 'such forces are also in the Union Cabinet' and they should be removed from there.
