Arjun Munda stakes claim in Jharkhand

March 18, 2003 00:33 IST

Leader of the BJP legislature party Arjun Munda on Monday night staked claim to form government in Jharkhand.

Governor M Rama Jois will swear him in on Monday morning.

Munda, who was welfare minister in Babulal Marandi Cabinet, said he had submitted to Jois a list of 40 MLAS who were supporting him.

He said he expected two more legislators, including rebel tourism minister Joba Manjhi, to come out in his support.
