Army help sought for probing Mumbai blasts

August 25, 2003 16:56 IST

Army experts have been called to help in the investigations into the explosions that rocked Mumbai on Monday, sources in Delhi said.

The state government has sought their assistance in view of the large-scale devastation caused by the two blasts. Considering that the blasts affected vast areas, it is feared that explosives like RDX or Semtex may have been used.

It has been observed that terrorists have used these explosives in recent bomb blasts in other parts of the world.
