Suniel Shetty to do a Nicholas Cage

Director Harry Baweja's forthcoming Qayamat seems to be a remake of the 1996 Hollywood thrSuniel Shettyiller, The Rock.

Suniel Shetty gets into the shoes of Nicolas Cage, while Ajay Devgan reprises Sean Connery's role. Qayamat also stars Arbaaz Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, Neha Dhupia and Isha Koppikar. Its music has been composed by Nadeem-Shravan.

After Dilwale, this is the second Baweja film starring Ajay and Suniel.

Ekta's rating slip!Ekta Kapoor

Things don't seem to be too rosy for television producer Ekta Kapoor. After the disaster of her second film Kucch To Hai [Kyunki Mein Jhoot Nahin Bolta was the first], starring her brother Tusshar, her latest television serial Kahani Terrii Merrii has not been accepted well.

Her other serials, Kkamal, Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat and Kahin To Milenge, have registered an alarming dip in TRP ratings. Koi Apna Sa, Kkutumb and Kabhi Souten Kabhi Saheli have gone off air. Kahin Kissi Roz has just managed to get a brief extension.

John Abraham
After the success of Jism, John Abraham has become Pooja Bhatt's favourite actor. She has cast him as the leading man in her directorial debut, Paap, which will roll in Moscow in May, as well as in her next production, Cabaret, which will be directed by Amol Shetge (of Gunaah fame). The film, based on the life of a cabaret dancer, will costar a new girl who is yet to be finalised.
