What: The Welingkar Institute of Management, India, and the Nottingham Trent University, UK, invite applications for admission to their MSc Bioinformatics programme.
Programme details
~ It is a one year, full-time course.
~ Six months of the course will be at Welingkar, India, and six months at Nottingham Trent University, UK.
~ There are 30 seats.
Are you eligible?
~ You must have scored a First Class (60 percent) at the graduate level in any branch of one the following subjects:
- Life science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology)
- Mathematics
- Medicine
- Engineering
- Pharmacy
- Veterinary Science
~ A high second class will be considered in deserving cases.
~ You can apply if you are appearing for the final examination of the above subjects in March/ April.
Selection method
~ You must appear for an entrance test followed by a personal interview.
~ Your proficiency in English will be an important criterion in the selection process.
Important dates
~ The last date for sale of application kits and online applications is March 15.
~ The last date for the online entrance test is March 20.
~ The course commences in July/August 2006.
How to apply
~ Obtain the application kit at the Welingkar campus for Rs 1,000. Then apply online at www.welingkar.org, using the user id and password mentioned in the kit.
~ Obtain the application kit by post by sending a demand draft of Rs 1,100 in favour of Welingkar Institute Management, payable in Mumbai.
~ Download the completed form and send it to the Welingkar Institute of Management.
