Easy Strawberry Trifle
- 150 gm vanilla cake, cut into layers (please click here for the recipe or buy a standard vanilla sponge/finger mawa cakes from a nearby bakery or cake store)
- 100 gm custard (please click here for the recipe [external link])
- 200 gm whipped cream
- 60 ml strawberry syrup
- Mint leaves, to garnish
- Slices fresh strawberries, to garnish, optional
- 2 small glass bowls
- Add a layer of cake at the bottom of a glass bowl.
Top it with a layer of the custard (keeping half for the second bowl), and some of the strawberry syrup.
Add a layer of the whipped cream (keeping half for the second bowl) and drizzle a little more of the strawberry syrup.
Garnish with mint leaves and fresh strawberry slices.
Repeat the process with the second glass bowl.
Refrigerate and serve chilled.
