387 - India's 387 for four is the fourth highest successful chase in Test history and the highest ever on Indian soil. Before this match, no side had ever won a match on Indian soil while chasing a fourth innings target of 300 or more.

163 - The 163-run unbroken partnership between Sachin Tendulkar [Images] and Yuvraj Singh [Images] is the best ever partnership for the fifth wicket in the fourth innings of a match for a winning side. The pair obliterated the 157-run stand between Martin Crowe and Jeremy Coney for New Zealand [Images] against Pakistan at Dunedin in 1984-85

50 - Number of Tests won by India in which Tendulkar features, the first Indian to accomplish to this feat.

11 - The match provided the eleventh instance of a side losing a match after declaring in the third innings. This is the first such instance in the sub-continent.

8 - Andrew Strauss [Images] became the eighth batsman to end on the losing side despite scoring centuries in both innings. He also became the first batsman suffered this fate against India.

7 - Number of Man of the Match awards won by Sehwag -- he has won three in 2008.

5 - Tendulkar completed 1,000 runs in Test matches in 2008 when he scored his 56th run. This was the fifth time Tendulkar reached the landmark of 1,000 runs in a calendar year. He had made 1,000 in 1997, 1088 in 1999, 1003 in 2001 and 1392 in 2002.

4 - MS Dhoni [Images] has now won his first four Tests as captain, the first Indian to do so.
