A Mumbai court on Thursday directed the police to issue notices to all the 14 accused in the New Year molestation case on a revision application filed against grant of bail to them.

The review plea, filed by the police, will come up for hearing in the court of principle sessions judge Ashok Bhangale on February 4.

Prosecutor R R Kini told the court the police should be given a chance for investigation as they had not been given custody of the accused, released from the jail on January 8.

A metropolitan magistrate's court had granted bail to the accused on January 3, hours after they were arrested in connection with the molestation of two non-resident Indian women by a mob of around 50 people outside a five-star hotel in suburban Juhu.

The incident came to light after two photographers from a newspaper caught the incident on camera and later called the police.

The accused have denied their involvement in the incident.
