Gordhan Zadaphia, who was the junior home minister of Gujarat in February 2002, when the Sabarmati Express was burnt down in Godhra leading to large-scale communal riots, told rediff.com that he will never become a witness before the Supreme Court constituted Special Investigation Team, which is probing the matter.

Zadaphia was reacting to a report published in the Times of India that stated that he had written a 10-page note to the SIT expressing his willingness to come clean on the matter.

"I will never become a witness. Never. I have not written any note to the SIT," Zadaphia told rediff.com

However, he said that he would go to the SIT if they call him again for questioning.

"But I will never utter a word," he said.

Zadaphia had already deposed three times before the SIT without revealing much.

A report in the TOI stated on Friday that Zadaphia has expressed his willingness to reveal 'everything,' after SIT tightened the noose around him the post-Godhra riots case.

His inputs could nail Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, the report added.
