Haryana minister Rao Narbir Singh has suggested that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini contest the next election from Gurugram to fulfil the Ahirwal region's desire to have a CM from the area.
Hours before the ceremony, Saini visited the Valmiki Bhawan and offered prayers at a gurdwara and the Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula.
Among the other prominent faces for the ruling BJP who tasted defeat in the elections was its state president Subhash Barala.
A grand welcome awaits Rio Olympics bronze medallist wrestler Sakshi Malik when she arrives home on Wednesday, with hectic preparations underway to give her a rousing reception at her village Mokhra Khas in Rohtak district. When Sakshi touches down at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi at around 3:50 a.m. tomorrow, as many as five ministers of the BJP Government in Haryana will be there to receive her.
Thakur said the minister told him a CBI inquiry would take minimum one year to conclude and that he should trust the state police's investigation.
The party hopes that the multiple road projects, schools, canals, and water projects which have come up in the Meo-Muslim-dominated area will be able to sway the votes in its favour.
The school management also removed all the security staffs.
Political observers feel that the outcome of the elections weighs in favour of the BJP which had won a massive mandate in the Lok Sabha elections, held earlier this year.
