The government has decided to transfer 22 All-India service officials working in one ministry for over seven years by the end of this month as part of its rotation policy aimed at increasing efficiency in the bureaucracy.
The Central Bureau of Investigation informed the Rajasthan high court on Tuesday that midwife Bhanwari Devi is no more and requested the court to quash the habeas corpus petition filed by her husband Amarchand. But the court refused to quash the petition and asked CBI to produce the final report on February 21. "BJP national general secretary Kirit Somaiya lodged a complaint against me with Lokayukta, but nothing was found.
