Top Indian discus thrower Kamalpreet Kaur has been provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit after testing positive for a banned steroid.
Kamalprest Kaur, who had a best throw of 64 metres in the qualification round of the women's Discus Throw, could only attain 63.70 metres in the final.
She finished second in the qualifying round at Tokyo to progress to the final, where she finished sixth with a best throw of 63.70m. It was the third-best performance by an Indian in a field event, at the Games.
