An 18-year-old youth has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a tutor who had been sexually assaulting his 14-year-old friend for the past six months, police said on Tuesday.
Five juveniles were arrested by Delhi Police on Thursday for two murders in east Delhi. CCTV footage from both crime scenes showed the same five suspects, leading to a 13-hour manhunt. The juveniles, who were in a drunken state, first murdered a man in Ghazipur and then attacked a passerby in New Ashok Nagar. Police apprehended the suspects after reviewing CCTV footage and tracking their movements through Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras.
The police have detained the man, identified as Kapil Gujjar, a resident of Dallupura village near Delhi-Noida border. His cousin's wedding is approaching and he had to run around a lot make arrangements, police sources said.
The poll body also observed that the investigation had 'political connotations' and Deo's conduct has 'consequences' for 'free and fair elections'.

Kapil was tired of travelling extra kilometeres due to protests at Shaheen Bagh, said his uncle. He said Kapil usually had to travel 10 km to reach home but due to protests, he had to travel 35 km.
