At least sixteen persons were killed when a speeding truck ran over them on the Dolka-Bagodra highway near Ahmedabad on Thursday, said the police. The incident took place near Bejwa crossroad on the highway where a number of people on their way to the pilgrimage were sleeping on the roadside, they said. Sixteen persons have died on the spot while several others were injured, said the police, adding that the injured victims were admitted to the V S Hospital in Ahmedabad.
