Maruti Udyog Ltd on Tuesday slashed prices of two variants of one of its highest-selling cars, Alto by Rs 23,167 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The high-selling model now comes with various safety features like anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution, driver airbag, reverse parking sensor, seed alert system and driver and co-driver seat belt reminder.
Renault Kwid is also the longest of the lot and at 3680mm length, the vehicle may turn out to be the most spacious in its segment.
The car has been launched in two variants.

Byju's plans to raise funds at a lower valuation of $7-8 billion as the embattled edtech major looks to shore up its financials with adequate liquidity, a senior company executive said on Tuesday. Maruti Suzuki India on Friday said it is recalling 7,213 units of its Baleno RS model due to a suspected defect in vacuum pump, which assists brake function. Passenger vehicle wholesales in India rose to a record high in October as companies pushed dispatches to dealers to cater to the enhanced demand in the festive season. The overall passenger vehicle wholesales in October rose to 391,472 units, up 16 per cent from 336,679 units in the same month last year. Maruti Suzuki India's production in December 2022 was lower by 17.96 per cent at 124,722 units, according to a regulatory filing by the company.
