Three Kazakh weightlifters have been stripped of the gold medals they won at the 2012 London Olympics after failing doping tests, the International Olympic Committee said.
Kazakh weightlifter Zulfiya Chinshanlo broke her own clean and jerk world record in the 53kg category at the Asian Games on Sunday, but it was not enough to snatch gold from Taiwan's Hsu Shu Ching, who also set a new combined world mark of 233kg.
Four Olympic weightlifting champions from Kazakhstan, including the sport's most celebrated figure Ilya Ilyin, are among 10 lifters to have tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs at the London 2012 Olympics after their samples were reanalysed.
