The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday took over the probe in the rape case against former Rajasthan minister Babulal Nagar who is accused of sexually assaulting a 35-year-old woman.
Two other Rajasthan ministers Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena were also sacked from the state cabinet after a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party, its second in the last two days. The meeting was billed as a 'second chance' for Pilot, who had turned down appeals from the party's top leadership -- including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi -- to return to the fold.
The current crisis began Friday night when the Rajasthan Police sent a notice to Pilot, asking him to record his statement over an alleged attempt to bring down the government.
Reacting to the court order, Mohanty said he did not want to comment on the plan of action of Rajasthan police but said any move to arrest him would be beyond its legitimate powers.
"We searched for Mohanti at a hospital in the Buxi Bazar area and also went to DGP's office for the second time on Tuesday expecting that he would be present there. But there was no trace of him."
The additional district judge (ADJ) said one such loophole was that their names were not in the statements given by Pehlu Khan and other complainants.
Pehlu Khan's name was mentioned in the summary of the chargesheet.
Hazi Khan has visited Pakistan three times and is suspected to have connections with the ISI.

Sylvester, a key witness in the Soharabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, made a dramatic escape from the Gujarat police's custody but was rearrested late on Saturday night.
