A R Rahman on Monday created history by becoming the first Indian to win two Oscars for his score in Slumdog Millionaire which swept the Academys, winning eight awards including one for sound engineer Resul Pookutty. The film, named the best at the Oscars, also fetched Danny Boyle the Best Director award, Simon Beaufoy best Adapted Screenplay and Anthony Dod Mantle the best Cinematography award.
