Actor and Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Shatrughan Sinha on Wednesday dismissed reports that he had some differences with the party over denial of ticket to one his supporters from Bankipore assembly segment in his Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency for the Bihar polls. He said that he was not the one to harbour any grudge against anyone and that he and the party were "made for each other."
The incident drew strong condemnation from a number of journalists' bodies, which demanded an apology from the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad's elder son.
Bihar Director General of Police Abhyanand could not cast his vote on Thursday, as his name did not figure in the voters list. "My name is not in voters list. Hence, I am not able to exercise my franchise," Abhyanand told PTI, adding that this had occurred last time too.
He, however, was quick to add that though "it is an internal matter of the BJP, but so far as country or ideology is concerned, there is no question of tolerating such things."
