Several residents of Greater Noida's Delta 1 Sector fell ill after allegedly consuming contaminated drinking water, prompting health concerns and complaints of sewage mixing with the supply line, officials and residents said.

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority is planning to move the Supreme Court against the Allahabad High Court order setting aside acquisition of land in Gautam Buddh Nagar district. The authority has already held talks with farmers to resolve the land dispute in Shahberi village in the district which saw violent clashes between farmers and the police, killing four people.
There was uncertainty after the courts annulled land acquisition in a couple of these villages.
The court also imposed Rs 10 lakh (Rs 1 million) as cost on the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and directed it to hand over the land to the villagers and farmers.
Growing in confidence with every opportunity that has come their way, Afghanistan cricket captain Asghar Stanikzai said his team knows how to beat the big guns of the game but the ICC has to give it enough chances. "You can make a comparison between Afghanistan and other associates. Many associates have been playing for last 30-40 years. They have been participating in World Cup tournaments.
